Why is replacing an RGA important?
The flue of a central heating boiler ensures that combustion gases are safely vented to the outside. An outdated, damaged, or incorrectly connected flue can pose a serious safety risk. In the event of problems with the flue, there is a risk, among other things, that carbon monoxide (CO) may enter the home.
Therefore, when replacing a central heating boiler, it is important not only to look at the new boiler but also to check the flue. A new central heating boiler must be connected to a flue system that is suitable and safe.
When does a flue need to be replaced?
The need for replacement depends on, among other things, the age, type of material, technical condition, installation, and safety of the system.
In the case of an older flue, a modification to the central heating boiler, or doubts regarding safety, it is advisable to have the flue professionally inspected. If the flue no longer meets the applicable requirements, complete replacement of the flue may be necessary.
